Overview
Live RootMC uses Root-Claims only. The protected circle is your claim. Outside the rim is a territory buffer — unclaimed wilderness that still belongs to that owner’s watch.
- Claim circle — build protection. Strangers cannot place or break inside.
- Territory of USERNAME — +48 blocks past the rim. Outsiders pay destroy fees; trusted members are exempt.
- Ava’s wilderness — land that is neither claim nor territory. Ava is the guardian watch.
Territory does not grant build rights. It only affects enter/exit text, destroy fees, and where new areas may be founded.
Buffer size
The territory band is measured from the outer edge of the claim circle, not from spawn.

When two territories meet, the border is a clean Voronoi split — you are in one owner’s band or the other’s, not both.
Enter / exit messages
Crossing a territory or claim border shows a short chat line:
- Entering USERNAME’s territory — Fees Apply
- Leaving USERNAME’s territory
- Entering Ava’s wilderness — Guardian watch
Messages have a short cooldown so walking along a border does not spam chat.
Destroy fees
Fees apply to block breaks at Y ≥ 0 only. Trusted members (/c add) and the owner are exempt in that claim’s territory.

If you cannot afford the fee, the break is cancelled. New players should /c new / /c claim immediately, or ask someone to /c add them.
Ava’s wilderness
Unclaimed surface land is Ava’s guardian watch. Chat recaps wilderness fees when you start taking resources, then each minute while you keep paying (no spam if the total is zero).
Mining rights (Y < 0)
Anything below Y 0 is free-reign underworld. There are no claims and no territories underground — everyone may mine. Ava hire digs start at Y ≥ 0 on land you own and may continue through the underworld. Full land rules: Claims — mining rights.

FAQ
Can I build in the territory band?
Only if wilderness rules allow it. Territory alone does not grant build rights. Founding a new area into someone else’s buffer is blocked.
What if two territories overlap?
The border is a 50/50 split by nearest claim center. You are in one owner’s territory or the other’s.
Do towns or nations exist?
No. Live RootMC is Root-Claims only — personal areas, claim banks, and territory buffers.
